{"id":156,"date":"2009-02-24T16:45:45","date_gmt":"2009-02-24T23:45:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jtalbot.com\/swim\/?p=156"},"modified":"2009-03-03T10:02:13","modified_gmt":"2009-03-03T17:02:13","slug":"riding-the-west-wing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jtalbot.com\/swim\/riding-the-west-wing\/","title":{"rendered":"Riding the West Wing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We haven&#8217;t ridden our trainers too much, but I&#8217;ve decided that I should be blogging about the times when we do, just so there&#8217;s a record of it&#8230; and why we weren&#8217;t swimming or running (yeah right) or doing something else.<\/p>\n<p>Last night I spent some time messing around with the <a href=\"https:\/\/developer.apple.com\/iphone\/\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone SDK<\/a> while Charmaine was reading a book. After a while I heard a peculiar noise. It sounded a bit like the clothes dryer at first, but then I realized it was coming from the TV room. Charmaine had started to ride her bike while watching TV. I&#8217;ve found too many excuses to skip riding in the past, so I decided I would get on and ride. We ended up riding about 45 minutes&#8230; the entire length of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tv.com\/the-west-wing\/show\/189\/summary.html\" target=\"_blank\">West Wing<\/a> episode on <a href=\"https:\/\/boxee.tv\/\" target=\"_blank\">Boxee<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I spent more than half the time in a higher gear than the last time we rode, so I was pretty happy about that. I really enjoy riding the bike.
